Employer Feedback

NSPAC is designed as a reflective safeguarding intervention, not an assessment or investigative process. For this reason, the information requested at the point of booking, and the feedback provided following attendance, are deliberately limited.

Referring organisations are asked to select broad areas of relevance (such as professional boundaries, use of physical intervention, decision-making, or professional judgement) rather than provide detailed information about specific incidents or concerns. This approach ensures the course can be delivered appropriately, while avoiding the need for sensitive or identifying detail.

Limiting pre-course information helps protect the reflective nature of the programme. It allows participants to engage openly with the content without feeling singled out, labelled, or pre-judged, and ensures that course discussions remain focused on principles and learning rather than individual cases.

For the same reasons, feedback to referring organisations is normally limited to confirmation of attendance, with some very limited exceptions. This maintains clear boundaries between NSPAC and internal management or HR processes, and supports a learning-focused environment rather than one based on scrutiny or evaluation.

This approach helps ensure NSPAC remains a proportionate, fair, and defensible intervention that complements, but does not replace, organisational responsibility for managing concerns or supporting staff induction.

Course format

NSPAC is delivered live online in a facilitator-led format, with sessions designed to be interactive and reflective rather than pre-recorded training. Courses are delivered in small groups to support discussion and meaningful engagement, and the content is accessible and relevant across a wide range of roles, experience levels, and professional settings.

Joining details are provided directly to the participant once a booking is confirmed.

Payment and confirmation

Payment is normally made by card at the point of booking. This allows bookings to be confirmed promptly.

Where card payment is not possible, invoicing can be arranged by exception. Payment terms and confirmation details are provided at the point of booking, and all fees must be received before the course date.

In most cases, bookings are made and paid for by the referring organisation.

Self-referral is also possible in limited circumstances, such as for individuals working independently or running small organisations who wish to evidence completion of a safeguarding-focused safer practice course. In these cases, the individual is responsible for payment and for ensuring NSPAC is appropriate to their role and setting.

Confirmation details are provided following submission of the booking or referral form.

Cancellation, rescheduling, and substitutions

NSPAC courses are delivered live in small groups, and places are limited. The following terms are designed to be fair, proportionate, and clear.

For bookings made more than seven days before the course date, cancellation or rescheduling is permitted with at least seven days’ notice. In these circumstances, the booking may be transferred to a future course date or a suitable substitute may be nominated by the same organisation.

Where cancellation occurs within seven days of the course date, or where a booking is made within seven days of the course, the fee will be retained. Substitution may still be permitted, subject to suitability and notification in advance.

Substitutions must be from the same organisation and meet the course eligibility criteria. Substitutions are not permitted once a course has commenced.
